Triangulating surfaces

When reviewing and preparing polyline sets for use later in the workflow, the key feature available under the Triangulate button (prepare > Post-Processing Tools > Triangulate) is ability to create tri-meshes based on polyline sets and point sets. Use this option to triangulate fault polylines or point sets located in Surface Sets folders, because they need to be triangulated to be available for selection during fault assignment (this is not necessary for faults located in Seismic Interpretation folders, see Interpretation settings). You can also use this option to triangulate unconformities and intrusions; they also need to be triangulated to be available for selection in a fault model, irrespective of their source location (i.e. Surface Set or Seismic Interpretation).

With the Triangulate option you can also triangulate fault gap polygons.
